The complete seasonal rhythm
Every Lawn Application Has One Specific Job.
The order matters. Early prevention leads into summer feeding and defense, followed by recovery and winter preparation. Explore every application below—the full detail from Matt’s original program is here.
prevent March—April
Early Spring Fertilizer and Crabgrass Control
First of two crabgrass applications
This fertilizer application helps wake your lawn up from winter while helping control crabgrass and some other unwanted “grassy” weeds.
Spring Broadleaf Weed and Crabgrass Control
Second crabgrass round + premium herbicide
This is the second round of crabgrass control, paired with a premium broadleaf weed herbicide. It helps control broadleaf weeds such as dandelions and clover.
protect May—June
Slow-Release Summer Fertilizer
Eight to ten weeks of feeding
This slow-release summer fertilizer with ammonium sulfate feeds your yard for eight to ten weeks. Ammonium sulfate helps create the deep, dark green hue we all like to see—the look that sets your lawn apart from your neighbors.
Yellow Nutsedge and Grub Control
Suppress fast growth + defend healthy roots
Yellow nutsedge is the tall, thin, neon-green “grass” that grows considerably faster than the rest of the turf. This weed can be suppressed, not eliminated, with approximately 25–30 days of control.
Grubs are the baby form of beetles and can potentially destroy a beautiful lawn quickly. By being proactive with this application, we can help protect your lawn from destruction.
the heat July—August
Early Summer Broadleaf Weed & Nutsedge Control
Target the season’s toughest weeds
Application 5 is sprayed to remove unwanted broadleaf weeds. This is the time of year when the toughest and hardest-to-control broadleaf weeds are present.

Late Summer Broadleaf Weed & Nutsedge Control
Follow-up control during peak pressure
Application 6 is sprayed to remove unwanted broadleaf weeds. This is the time of year when the toughest and hardest-to-control broadleaf weeds are present.

Slow-Release Fall Fertilizer
Recover from summer and strengthen roots
This slow-release granular fertilizer is high in nitrogen and contains ammonium sulfate nitrogen. This top-shelf nitrogen helps your yard recover from summer stress and adds to the greenness we all like seeing in our yards.
The application encourages root growth, and strong roots equal a stronger, healthier plant—one that looks better and is more drought-tolerant during tougher times of the year.
Winterizer Fertilizer
Build the foundation for next year
This high-nitrogen application is usually made after you have put the lawn mower away for the season. We apply a large dose of nitrogen right before the plant goes dormant.
The plant recognizes that temperatures are dropping, takes in this potent food, and stores it in its roots. This application sets the foundation for the following year and is why some lawns “pop” in spring sooner than others.
Treatments start as low as $45 per application and are based on the size and needs of your lawn. Your estimate will reflect your specific property.
