Healthy plants begin with nutrition—and stay healthier with proactive protection.
The overall objective of an ornamental tree and shrub program is to promote a healthy plant. We achieve this by providing top-shelf fertilizers to feed plants at the appropriate times. The second stage of preventive care is proactive insecticide treatment. This approach helps keep plants from being opened up by insects, minimizing disease exposure.

The five-step program
Feed early. Protect through summer. Finish strong.
March · Application 1
Spring slow-release fertilizer. We apply a premium slow-release fertilizer with micronutrients that is ideal for spring. It is great for flowering perennials and annuals and feeds plants for the following months.
April–September · Application 2
Systemic insecticide. This insecticide and miticide is sprayed on ornamental trees and shrubs to help control vegetation-eating bugs, bagworms, beetles and more.
April–September · Application 3
Continued systemic insect and mite protection helps reduce feeding activity through the growing season.
April–September · Application 4
By controlling insect activity, the program greatly reduces plant damage and susceptibility to disease.
September & October · Application 5
Fall slow-release fertilizer. We apply premium slow-release fertilizer with micronutrients that is ideal for fall, beneficial to flowering perennials and annuals, and able to feed plants for the following months.
